A Toast to Obama
The Naked Grape Wine Bar has been selected as the site for a fundraiser for Senator Obama's bid in the upcoming presidential election. It is being called "A Toast to Obama" as it will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2008, from 3:00PM until 5:00PM, just prior to the start of the Democratic National Convention.
A speaker to be announced form Senator Obama's campaign will be on hand to talk about and discuss Senator Obama's positions and ideas concerning important national and international issues. There will be a suggested donation of $50.00 at the door, but no one will be turned away, and any donation is more than welcome. If you care to make a contribution, they will be accepted as cash or check only; checks should be made payable to the "Obama Victory Fund." You will receive a glass of champagne to toast the start of Senator Obama's campaign to win the presidency on election day, November 7, 2008. There will also be a cash bar.

Yappy Hour
Are you a dog lover? And are you a wine lover? If so, then you certainly will not want to miss the Naked Grape Wine Bar's first "yappy hour." Sunday, September 7, 2008, from 3:00PM until 5:00PM, you and your dog are invited to a very special and unique wine tasting.
Come to the wine bar and taste some specially selected wines with a particular appeal to the dog- lover in so many of us. There will also be special treats for our furry friends provided by our neighbors at Tiny Treasures. Come in and relax with your pooch and taste some interesting and fun wines.
Please be sure that dogs are leashed and are well- socialized to people and to other dogs. This tasting will be limited to 25 only, so do not hesitate if you want to be a part of this special tasting event. The price will be $10.00 in advance or $15.00 at the door, if room permits. Make your reservation for "yappy hour" by calling the wine bar (954-563-5631) with a major credit card or by reserving a place for you and your puppy the next time you come in to the bar.
The Pet Project will be the beneficiary of 10% of all bottle and by the glass sales from the wines at this special dog- lovers tasting. |

The word is out and continuing to spread: The Naked Grape Wine Bar is a great place to come and relax to the lounge music grooves of Circuitseven as you sip your favorite white or red. The turntables begin to heat up at 9:00PM every Thursday, and they revolve until midnight. Relax, kick off your shoes, close your eyes, and mellow out to the hypnotic beats of Circuitseven as you start your weekend in your best chill-out style. |

WOK Cooking with Eleanor Hoh
Do you like to eat? Do you like to drink wine? Do you like to cook? If you answered "yes" to at least two of these three questions, then you will want o be at the Naked Grape Wine Bar on Sunday, September 14, 2008, when "Wok Star" Eleanor Hoh and wine star Cindy Woodman will be here to share wok cooking paired with special wines to enhance the flavors of the food. This event will teach you wok cooking secrets as well wine you and dine you. You will have the opportunity to taste each of the course as well as the wine selected with each course. Fallen Angels Raffle Drive
It's not too late to purchase your raffle ticket for over $2500 in prizes to benefit the Fallen Officers of Broward County through the Fallen Angels Raffle Drive of the PBA. Tickets are $10 each-- cash-- and are available through the wine bar. Prizes include a cruise, limo service, dinners, champagne, guest house stays and more. Saketini Cocktails
We are mixing it up and offering something new for you at the Naked Grape Wine Bar: Saketinis! Saketinis are martini-like cocktails that use a fine grade of Sake wine instead of the usual distilled spirits. The taste of the finished drink is very similar to that of the typical cocktail. Right now we are offering Sake Cosmos, Sake Margaritas, and our own invention, the Zin-tini. More flavors will be following in the weeks ahead.
These delicious and refreshing cocktails are mixed and shaken with ice in a traditional cocktail shaker, just as a martini would be shaken. We then pour them from the shaker into a martini glass. All that is left for you to do is to sip and enjoy! A Saketini is a cool alternative to a glass of wine, especially during our hot South Florida summers.

Current Features
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after 6:00PM with any bottle purchase that is consumed on premise, the $10 corkage fee includes a small brie cheese plate. This is a limited time feature.
The Naked Grape Wine Bar now featrures a list of specialty boutique reserve bottles of wine that are just right for celebrating an anniversary, a special birthday, a promotion, or any other event that you want to remember. There are several varietals available; inquire with your server about which one may be the right one for you. In addition, purchase of a bottle of wine from the reserve list comes with a gourmet cheese plate and no corkage fee. What a great way to celebrate something momentous with those you love!
